Future perspectives
• A second phase of this project foresees the drafting of a history of the dedication text (“Chapters for a history of the dedication text”) accompanied by an Anthology of exemplary cases and by a CD-ROM. Based on the materials collected for the Online Archive, the volume will present a diachronic and typological study of dedication texts in the Italian tradition.
• The Anthology will have a documentary and complementary function to the volume: texts which are difficult to find and that are currently dispersed in several volumes will become easily accessible also in printed form.The CD-ROM could become a static version of the on line Archive, fixed in its current form.
